Manual table processing

  • Manually copying rows and columns from PDFs into spreadsheets
  • Losing table structure when copying — columns shift, numbers become text
  • Manually merging tables that span multiple pages
  • Not recognising subtotal rows and accidentally including them in calculations

Automatic table extraction

  • Tables are automatically detected: headers, data rows and subtotal rows are recognised separately
  • Tables spanning multiple pages are automatically merged based on matching headers
  • Data types are recognised: numbers, dates, currencies and percentages are correctly formatted
  • Upload up to 10 documents at once. Each table is extracted separately with a preview of the first 10 rows

How it works

How it works
1

Upload your documents

Upload up to 10 PDF, Word, Excel or email files at once. Word and Excel files are automatically converted for processing.

2

Table detection and extraction

All tables in the document are detected. Headers, data rows and subtotals are recognised separately. Tables spanning multiple pages are automatically merged.

3

Review and export

Preview the first 10 rows per table. Export as Excel (separate sheet per table), CSV or JSON. With multiple documents you can download everything in one export.

What gets extracted

The system recognises table structures, detects data types and merges tables spanning multiple pages.

Table headers

Column names and header rows are automatically detected. This determines the export structure: each column becomes a field in CSV/JSON or a column in Excel.

Data rows and subtotals

Data rows are extracted with values mapped to the correct columns. Subtotal rows are marked separately so you can distinguish them from regular rows.

Multiple tables and pages

Documents with multiple tables are handled correctly. Tables spanning multiple pages are automatically merged based on identical headers.

Data types

Numbers, dates, currencies, percentages and text are recognised and correctly formatted in the export.

Use cases

Financial reports

Extract balance sheets, income statements and breakdowns from annual reports. Tables spanning multiple pages are automatically merged. Subtotal rows are marked.

Research data

Extract data tables from publications and reports. Data types (numbers, percentages, dates) are recognised and correctly formatted for direct analysis in Excel.

Product catalogues and price lists

Extract product listings, pricing tables and specifications from supplier catalogues. Export as CSV for import into web shops or procurement systems.

Data migration from legacy PDFs

Convert table data from old PDF documents into Excel, CSV or JSON for import into databases or modern systems. Process up to 10 documents in one batch.

Frequently asked questions

How are tables spanning multiple pages handled?

Tables that span multiple pages are automatically merged when headers match. The system detects whether the table continues and combines the rows into one coherent table.

Are subtotal rows recognised?

Yes. Subtotal rows are marked separately in the results so you can distinguish them from regular data rows. This prevents subtotals from accidentally being included in calculations.

How many tables per document are supported?

There is no limit on the number of tables per document. Each table is extracted separately and gets its own section in the results. In the Excel export, each table gets a separate sheet.

What data types are recognised?

Numbers, dates, currencies, percentages and text. The system automatically detects the data type per cell and formats values correctly in the export.

What does table extraction cost?

2 credits per PDF, 3 per Word/Excel file. Upload up to 10 files at once. You can preview the first 10 rows per table before exporting.
