What you leak without knowing

  • Your name and company stay embedded in every shared document.
  • Photos reveal the exact GPS location where they were taken.
  • Edit history and revision numbers expose your internal process.
  • Custom and XMP properties travel along invisibly.

What you get back

  • Author, title, dates and revision fields wiped clean.
  • EXIF and GPS stripped from images — colour profile kept intact.
  • Custom/XMP properties and hidden fields removed.
  • Same format in, same format out — a clean .docx stays a .docx.

Frequently asked questions

Does the file stay in the same format?

Yes. A .docx stays a .docx, a .jpg stays a .jpg. We do not convert to PDF — this is a privacy tool, not a converter.

What metadata is removed?

Author, title, subject, keywords, creation/modification dates, revision history, company/manager fields, EXIF/GPS on images and custom/XMP properties.

Do images lose colour accuracy?

No. We keep the embedded ICC colour profile so colours stay correct, while stripping the privacy-sensitive EXIF, IPTC and XMP data.

Can I edit a value instead of removing everything?

Yes — use the "Edit metadata" tool to change individual fields such as author or title while keeping the rest.

Are .doc, .xls and .ppt supported?

Not the old binary formats. Please save them as .docx/.xlsx/.pptx first, then upload.

Want to change a value instead of removing it?

Correct the author, title or capture date and keep everything else.
