Yes, images are embedded in the PDF without compression, maintaining their original quality and resolution.

Picking default is recommended as it works best in most circumstances. Pick grayscale in case you want images in gray tones. CMYK's base color is black, and it is best for printing purposes. RGB's base color is white, and it is preferable for online use. Srgb is the stripped down version of rgb, and is suitable for old monitors.
