Frequently asked questions

Which email files are supported?
Both .eml (standard) and .msg (Outlook) are supported. Attachments are read automatically.
What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
These are email authentication methods. Their verdicts (pass/fail) help determine whether an email truly came from the sender or may be spoofed.
Are attachments read too?
Yes. Metadata is shown for each attachment, and a nested email is read one level deep.
Is my email stored?
No. The file is only read to display the metadata and then deleted immediately.
Is this suitable for e-discovery?
For individual files this free viewer is fine. For bulk and export to CSV/JSON, use the paid metadata extraction.
