Font embedding for print

Embed all fonts in your PDF

Upload your PDF and we embed every font inside the file, so any printer or screen shows exactly the letters you designed — no substitutions, no shifted text.

The difference

A PDF with missing fonts prints wrong

  • If a font isn’t embedded, the printer’s system swaps in another one.
  • Your text reflows, spacing changes and headlines no longer fit.
  • Many printers reject files outright when fonts aren’t embedded.
  • You only spot the problem after it’s printed — too late to fix.

All fonts embedded in one click

  • Upload your PDF and we embed every font used in the document.
  • The file renders identically on every printer, system and screen.
  • Fonts are subset where possible to keep the file size small.
  • Multiple files at once — you get a ZIP back.

How it works

What the tool does

A self-contained PDF that prints exactly as designed.

Every font embedded

All fonts used in the document are stored inside the PDF.

Smart subsetting

Only the characters you use are embedded, keeping the file size down.

Layout stays the same

Text, spacing and line breaks stay exactly as in the original.

PDF and ZIP

Upload single PDFs or ZIP archives, up to 200 files at once.

Use cases

Delivering to a printer

Pass the “fonts not embedded” pre-flight check most printers run.

Sharing files

Send a PDF that looks the same on every recipient’s device.

Archiving

Store documents that stay legible years from now, fonts included.

Brand consistency

Keep your corporate typeface intact wherever the file is opened.

Frequently asked questions

Why must fonts be embedded?

If a font isn’t embedded, the system opening or printing the PDF substitutes another font. Your text then shifts or changes shape. Embedding stores the fonts inside the PDF so it prints exactly as you designed it.

Does embedding make the file much bigger?

Usually not. We subset fonts where possible, embedding only the characters you actually use, so the file stays compact while still being fully self-contained.

What if a font can’t be embedded?

Some fonts are licensed to forbid embedding. When that happens the original font can’t be stored; the best fix is to replace it with an embeddable font in your design source and export again.

Does it use credits?

Yes, 1 credit per file. New accounts start with free credits so you can try. With multiple files you receive a ZIP.

Which files can I upload?

PDF files and ZIP archives containing PDFs. You can process up to 200 files at once.
